A Universal Language
For Issue 004 of TITLE Magazine, I photographed and designed "A Universal Language,"
a piece exploring the many ways we have a voice through fashion, and the powerful messages the people within the clothes have to share. It was a collaborative effort, as I worked with a team of three stylists, four models, and one writer.

Concepting: How fashion amplifies the wearer's voice
Ambush's SS18 collection served as inspiration for using the model's words on their clothing, to "wear your detention slip as a badge of honor."
Our writer, Bella Pittman, interviewed UC students that we believed were using their voices in powerful ways. The stylists and I brought these clothing items to life. I transformed a skirt and jeans, then photographed the group outside of Cincinnati City Hall and nearby churches and temples, mimicking both streetwear and protests.

Graphic Overlay Exploration

Application: Layout design for Issue 004 print publication
TITLE's color for Issue 004 was cobalt blue, but "A Universal Language" could be nothing but boldly orange, graphic, and photo-focused, with an emphasis on legibility in microtypography.
